How do you get these new features?
We are currently limited on how many domains we can support on the new system, so right now its first come first serve! - How do I activate the new Domain Manager?
- Login to your Backoffice
- Navigate to the old Domain configuration area
- Click the MIGRATE button to begin the process
- I already registered my domain through GoDaddy (or another registrar), can I still use the Domain Manager?
- YES! It just takes a few extra steps. Once you add your pre-existing domain (or migrate it from the old system) you’ll be told to update your name servers at your registrar. Changing name servers for your domain is one of the most common configurations, so it should be very easy. If doing it yourself is daunting, the most EFFICIENT would be to call your registrar support and ask them to do it for you. EWS Support can assist, but we’ll have to login to your registrar account, which adds a few extra steps to the process.
- NOTE: If you have email or other services from your Domain Registrar, changing your name server configuration may disrupt your email address. In most cases, there will be no disruption so long as you add the domain to our Domain Manager FIRST before changing your name servers. But just know its a possibility, so be sure to continue testing your email 2 days after changes, and if there is a problem, contact EWS Support, we can help you fix it quickly.
- Will there be any downtime of my websites during migration to the new system?
- NOPE! So long as everything is done according to instructions, there will be NO downtime for your websites during migration to the new SEO Boosting system!
- How long does migration take?
- Your old domains will be migrated to the new Domain Manager instantly, then once you update your domains’ name servers, the internet can take anywhere from 1 – 48 hours to fully update! This is called DNS Propagation period and is unavoidable, but in most cases its just an hour or two before you see everything is FULLY operational and optimized!
- How much are domains when buying through EWS?
- Our domain prices are very competitive, slightly lower than most, slightly higher than some. In any case, its only a dollar or two different per year either direction plus you get the added benefit of instant, automatic configuration and renewals all in one place!
- Can Basic (free) and Starter members use this?
- We are currently limited on how many members we can allow on this new SEO Boosting system, so for now, only higher tier plans may access this new feature. Distributor and Leader plans may migrate at any time up to our current limit of just 500 members. You may upgrade your plan to get access before space runs out!
- Do I have to pay for the SSL Certificate?
- Distributor and Leader plans will get all SSL Certificates for free! This saves you hundreds per year!
- I already have antivirus and spam filter, why do I need Website Defender?
- Your computer’s antivirus doesn’t protect your EWS websites or your contact database. Website Defender will greatly decrease the amount of malicious visitors to your website that are submitting your contact forms, making scam offers to you, wasting your time, and stealing your phone number and email address so they can spam and scam you directly. Website Defender doesn’t annoy your legitimate prospects while making it very hard for the bad ones to bother you.
